The team at 144 sent us this rad recap video from Formula Drift Long Beach. Corey Denomy put this video together that has a really cool perspective with Nate skating on the track giving a play by play of the course. Skyline Mike’s Stance Nation Feature

In Philippines born and raised, he spent most of his days on the playground. Besides the playground, he used to chill and shoot some b-ball out side of his school. One day there were a couple of guys who were up to no good they started making trouble in his living area. He got in this little fight and his mom got scared so he moved to San Diego.

Fast forward to 2013 and he’s the back to back champion of motor union 1 and 2. Some of you may know him as Skyline Mike (Maybe even just mike but that’s besides the point). Anyways, our boy Skyline Mike got his 71 skyline featured on Stance Nation and we thought we’d share, check it out!

WekFest LA

This weekend is WekFest LA. We’ll be there with Style Over Comfort and Autofashion. So make sure to come out and to say hi and show support! (If it’s hot bring me and Jay a Coke Slurpee, Jay likes half cherry and half coke, if it’s not hot bring us one anyways)

Targa Trophy Invasion at Formula Drift Long Beach 2013 Video Recap

As promised, the video from our most recent Targa Trophy cruise. We started the cruise with registration at Truspeed Motorsports. We headed over there with Jon and Becky Ikemura from The Condolence Co. and met up with Chris Alzona and Anh Nguyen of Style Over Comfort. Then after all was said and done, we all made our way to Formula Drift in Long Beach and drove thru a section of the track to our parking spots. Now i’m going to stop talking your ears off case we know everyones been waiting for this video all week! The wait is over, stop the presses! Do people still stop presses for important stuff? If not just stop whatever it is you’re doing. Even if you’re already watching the video, stop it and restart it. Turn your speakers up to 8! (Because lets face it, no one wants to blow their speakers up) and enjoy!

Nate Hamilton 144: Progress |1|

For those of you that aren’t aware we have been a part of Nate Hamilton’s life for the last 2 years. Last year we designed the wrap for his pro/am car and this year we will be sponsoring his rookie year of Formula Drift. We thought you guys and gals might enjoy a little progression video from his crew to yours. (and if you don’t have a crew then just consider this video especially just for you) With this being his first professional year of competing, Nate and crew thought it would be cool to show their prospective as a rookie and the new learning curve in Formula Drift. His whole team went to Willow Springs just weeks before Formula D to get some practice in with the new car. The video has some footage of Nate practicing and they also touch base on some changes they’ve made to the car for this year. Watch the video, it’ll explain it better than we can. P.S

We decided last minute to participate in the Targa Trophy cruise. The cruise started with a meet up and registration at Tru Motorsports in the morning ending at the Formula D track in Long Beach. As we arrived we briefly drove through the track to our the Targa section to park and show our cars. Saw a lot of familiar faces and even got to meet up with Nate to check his car in person. Our video of the Targa cruise to Formula D coming soon, so keep an eye or two eye for it! Hell maybe even 4 eyes if you were glasses, I know I do.

2013 Targa Trophy German Car Festival Video

The wait is over!! (and yes we assume you’ve all been waiting) The video is done from our participation in the Targa Trophy. Here’s a little briefing on the rally if you didn’t see our last 2 blog post (if you haven’t… shame on you)

This year’s 2013 Experience Event #1 was the German Car Festival. We had 3 sponsor cars brought to you by 5 & A Dime, The Condolence Co., and HDQRTS.

The cars were:
Nick Vuong – VW MKV GTI
Becky and Jon Ikemura – BMW 1 Series
Matt Alpert – Mercedes CLS 63 AMG

Let me tell you this much… We had a blast on the rally. We started at the HRE headquarters in the morning for the meet prior to the event.
Drive to Barnett Ranch

Take a picture with the preserve sign
Drive to Don’s Market in Julien
Purchase something in the store for under $2
Drive to Viejas
Play 1 hand of poker
Take a pic with a $5 chip
Drive to the finish line at the W Hotel

Now watch the video and enjoy or pretend to enjoy it. Some type of enjoyment is definitely meant to be had.

We’ve been busy this week trying to figure out sticker placement to represent and we finished Nick’s car today. Here’s some behind the scenes photos for your viewing pleasure. The event video should be here in no time. So if you can’t come out to cheer us on this weekend, you can watch the video and pretend as if you did. But come on… what better way to spend your Saturday then coming out to support us? Actually don’t answer this second, come out on Saturday and just tell us in person.

Targa Trophy – German Car Festival

It’s that time again guys and gals; the Targa Trophy! Last year we were lucky enough to be selected and collaborate with The Condolence Company to do the German Car Festival. We teamed up with them to do a limited run shirt last year just for the rally.

For those who don’t know what Targa Trophy is go, to their website and read it for yourself…

Targa Trophy is a rally which targets specific routes around California. They do 5 or 6 rallys a year which are categorized as experience rallies. The rad thing about these rallies is that some of them are time specific or objective specific. Drivers aren’t told what the type of rally it will be until the day of. All of the experienced rallies lead to a 3 day event called the California 1000.

GUESS WHAT!?

We’re teaming up with The Conco and Headquarters this year to do the German Car Festival once again. We’ll be joining forces with them and releasing a limited run shirt for the event. (bet you couldn’t guess that)

The route for the German Car Festival is local in San Diego come out and cheer us on, or boo us; do whatever you like preferably not boo us.
